Who are members of the Texas Game Warden Association?
There are two types of membership available - Game Warden/Retired Game Warden Membership and Associate Membership. The Game Warden/Retired Game Warden Membership is open to all current and retired Texas Game Wardens while the Associate Membership is open to any individual or business wanting to join. Both memberships offer different levels at which you can join. Please refer to the membership page for more information on the different levels.
Why should I join the Texas Game Warden Association?
By joining the TGWA you show your support for our philosophy of "Conservation for Future Generations" and you join the family of thousands of other game wardens, sportsmen, sportswomen, landowners and corporate members who recognize the importance of introducing the youth of Texas to the great outdoors. Through numerous local events and our annual summer camp the children of Texas are given the opportunity to have a total outdoor experience that would not be possible without the support of our members.
How does the Texas Game Warden Association use funds generated from membership and fundraisers?
The Texas Game Warden Association is classified as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation under the IRS Code. All funds generated by the Association, whether from membership or other sources, must be used for educational and/or youth oriented activities. The Association does operate an office in Kyle, Texas with one full time employee and the cost of the office and the employee are absorbed by funds generated by the TGWA.
