David Trevino – 2025

May 27, 2025 by

David Trevino is a 2025 graduate of Spring Woods Senior High School and an aspiring mechanical engineer with a deep passion for understanding how things work. From a young age, David showed an insatiable curiosity—disassembling toys, building projects, and shadowing his dad during home repairs. This hands-on enthusiasm evolved into a strong academic drive, especially in math and science, earning him a place in an advanced middle school math program.

At SWHS, he’s been a dedicated member of the marching band, rising to the role of drum captain and mentoring younger musicians. He also swims competitively and coaches during the summer league, where he instills teamwork, discipline, and confidence in others.

Beyond academics and music, David is active in community service through the National Honor Society and brings a spirit of adventure to his life through hiking, camping, skiing, fishing, and swimming. He also plays the Tenor Drums and Marimba, combining his creativity, commitment, and precision.

David is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University to channel his curiosity and creativity into real-world solutions. He sees engineering not just as a career, but as a calling to innovate and improve lives. His mission is to build a better, smarter, and more sustainable future.
